We each chose a leaf whose shape we liked. We rolled out some clay and pressed the underside of the leaf onto it. We then trimmed around the leaf using clay cutting tools. We then pressed on the leaf so that the wonderful textures and lines would form a print on the clay. We carefully peeled the leaf from the clay and formed the leaf into a bowl-like shape. We then made little bowls out of tinfoil and placed the leaves in them in the hopes that they would set in a bowl shape. When the clay dried we painted and varnished our clay leaf bowls. We were very happy with our end products!
