Scoil Chaitríona Gaelic Games

Scoil Chaitríona Senior pupils are fortunate to be involved in a G.A.A. school’s coaching scheme for hurling. Under the skilful guidance of their capable coach, both girls and boys are introduced to all aspects of the game and are put through the basic motions of hurling.

The school Gaelic teams regularly participate in the County Championships run by Cumann na mBunscoil. In the past, members of the school football team have been selected to play for the Galway primary Schools County Football team. The girls have also been involved in Inter Schools Camogie Competitions and Girls Football Competitions. Some of our past pupils have been selected to play for Inter-County teams.

In the area of Gaelic Games we are fortunate to be part of the community in Renmore where so many people give dedicated service, on a voluntary basis, to the promotion of football, hurling and Camogie among our young people.
