Every year since 2012 staff and pupils have had the privilege of being able to watch a pair of blue tits building their nest, laying eggs and rearing their young. Mike, our caretaker, built two nest boxes and we installed cameras in them. This year we had blue tits nesting in one of the boxes and from March to May we watched in wonder, all that happens inside a blue tit’s nest.

We kept a nest box diary and Emily, from sixth class, wrote a report on all that happened.
