The Olympic handball team meet for training every Thursday after school for one hour in the Renmore Community Centre. The team is trained by Mr Dempsey and Ms O’Connell.

The Olympic Handball playing field is similar to an indoor soccer field. Two teams of six players (five outfield players plus one goalkeeper) take the field and attempt to score points by putting the game ball into the opposing team’s goal.

Our teams have entered two competitions so far this year. We are very proud of everyone who turns up to training and represents their school in matches.

The school will be taking part in a Senior Boys competition on March 21. We are hopeful that our team will be successful on the day.
