Carnival of the Animals at Baboró
In October our class went to a performance of Carnival of the Animals at Baboró. This concert was held in the Town Hall Theatre. We travelled by bus and we wore animal maskd that we had made in school. For some weeks before our trip we had been learning about the music and story of the Carnival of the Animals and it’s composer Camille Saint Saens. We were also visited by several musicians who showed us instruments from the different sections of the orchestra – strings, woodwind, percussion and brass. It was great to see these instruments up close. We really enjoyed the performances.
