Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP) is a highly innovative, creative and participant-responsive programme that promotes professional learning towards partnership, supported by the Department of Education and Creative Ireland fund.

Through the TAP programme, the children in the Senior Language (DLD) and Reading (SLD) Classes got to work with textile artist, Ester Kiely.

We used the seashore as our inspiration to create an art work using textiles. We had great fun! No doubt the highlight was using Ester’s two Singer sewing machines, made in 1925 and 1930 in the Elizabethport, New Jersey (USA) factory!
